B/W - Silent - 16 mm - 00:18:00 [Note: 2 reels on 1] Reel 1, Department of Agriculture explorers examine betel nut trees, grapefruit trees, coconut trees, and ornamental plants of Ceylon. Reel 2, the growing of rice, oil palms, and pine trees on Sumatra is studied. Turpentine tapping methods are illustrated. The explorers view bamboo growing and manufacturing operations in Java.
