Color - Sound - 16 mm - 00:27:30 By showing examples of research work underway in the Department's Agricultural Research Service, this film is designed to interest college science students in a career in agricultural research. Shows the challenges offered in the research fields of farm economics, entomology, animal husbandry, animal disease and parasites, agricultural engineering, soil and water, and crops, and reveals the constant and continual probing and studying that are necessary before a "breakthrough" can be achieved. Awards: Columbus Film Festival, 1961; American Society of Agricultural Engineers Blue Ribbon, 1960; Venice, International Exhibition of Cinematographic Art, 1960.
