Brucellosis each year infects of 1,000,000 dairy cows causing abortion and sterility. A similar number of beef cattle, swine, and goats are infected. Brucellosis attacks humans in acute and chronic forms. They are susceptible through contact with infected animals or the meat of such animals, or through drinking the raw milk of an infected cow or goat. Shows the nature of the disease, methods of control, historic discovery and vaccine development.
