Water from the Mountains, 1957
Scope and Contents
Sound - 16 mm - 00:24:30 The Rocky Mountain watershed furnishes water for millions of people and hundreds of communities from the Mississippi to the Pacific. Almost entirely on publicly owned lands, it is being hard pressed to service increasing year-round demands for water. This film shows how forest and watershed scientists at experiment stations in the forests and on the range are trying to find the best ways to increase the yield of useful water without damaging the soil and the other important resources of the national forests.
