Scope and Contents
This subseries contains original artwork for the "Smokey Says" cartoon series, which promoted fire prevention and was published in newspapers and magazines. The artworks are single-panel, pen and ink cartoon illustrations with hand-written captions. Most of the art was drawn by Rudy Wendelin, but a few of the earlier pieces in the series were created by Harry Rossoll.
