Series I. Biographical Materials, 1924-2004

This series includes a biography of Lyle Thomas Alexander, personal correspondence,
personal work records, work related travel, and retirement information. Other types of
materials include death and obituary information. The series contains three subseries
that are arranged by topic and then chronologically within each topic.

Subseries I.C. contains Alexander's record card for his undergraduate degree at the
University of Arkansas. This card shows Alexander's college courses, the credit hours,
and grades obtained. Included in this subseries is a copy of Alexander's Ph.D.
dissertation submitted to the University of Maryland and related notes and graphs.
