Series II. COMEX Project, 1989-2015
Scope and Content Note
The Commodity Exchange Project (COMEX) trained several hundred Russian grain buyers in grain marketing skills. The four-year project was undertaken to help Russia convert the centralized grain distribution system of the former Soviet government to a free-market model. The U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service supported the project using funds from the Emerging Democracies authorization in the 1990 Farm Bill. Files from Hill's participation in the project committee comprise this series.
