Artwork, proofs, and mechanicals, 1945-1985
Scope and Contents
This subseries contains graphical components, the bulk of which were used to design and print items such as posters, stickers or decals, postcards, bookmarks, placemats, magazine and newspaper advertisements, and other promotional materials. Much of this subseries consists of original artworks, mechanicals, and color proofs (positives and negatives). There are also several design drawings and plans for Smokey Bear-themed exhibits and presentations, most of which were created by artist Rudy Wendelin.
