Biographical Sketch
Robert Selmer "Bob" Bergland (1928-2018) was Secretary of Agriculture from 1977 to 1981 under President Jimmy Carter. Bergland served as a U.S. Representative from Minnesota from 1971 to 1977, leaving Congress to head the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
