Biographical Sketch
Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1882-1945), the 32nd President of the United States, held office from 1933 to 1945. Roosevelt's administration dealt with the problems related to the Great Depression during the 1930s, and established key programs, regulations, and reforms that would become part of his New Deal. He led the United States through World War II, until his death near the end of the war.
