Biographical Sketch
Robert Leslie Usinger (1912-1968), a world-renowned entomologist and an expert on the ecology of insects, was a professor of entomology at the University of California for most of his career. He was the author of over 250 scientific books and papers.
Usinger collected the works of Carolus Linnaeus as a hobby. He was a fellow of the Linnaean Society of London, and his library of materials by Linnaeus is one of the most extensive of its kind in the world.
