Biographical Sketch

Dean Howard Mayberry began his U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) service in 1956 with the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) as the supervisory publications editor for agricultural and biological sciences at the Information Division in Washington, D.C. From 1958 to 1978, he was a public information officer for the ARS Information Division, Current Information Branch based at the Northern Regional Research Laboratory in Peoria, Illinois. From 1978 to 1982, he worked for the Science and Education Administration, and in 1982 he was reassigned to ARS. Mayberry retired from the USDA in 1985 as a public affairs specialist.
