Content Description

The Southmeadow Fruit Gardens Records contain materials from a fruit nursery run by Robert A. Nitschke. These materials include records, catalogs, order forms, tasting evaluation forms, and a large collection of color slides and photographs of a variety of fruits. Journal articles, association materials, and correspondence with other growers regarding grafting, plant samples, and the availability and quality of plants are also included. The predominant focus is on apples, but there is also information on pears, peaches, grapes, gooseberries, cherries, plums, quince, and currants.
