Content Description

Papers were accumulated by Kenneth D. Ackerman during his work as Administrator of the Risk Management Agency (RMA) and as manager for the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC). Materials relate to federal crop insurance reform, the agency's purpose and budget, and the creation of the Standard Reinsurance Agreement. They include domestic and foreign crop insurance research, analyses of current laws, and legislative liaison work with Congressional offices. Records contain USDA memoranda, briefing slides and presentation aids, speeches, publications, handouts, and travel itineraries, and notes.
