Scope and Contents

Boxes 49-52 consist of 32 VHS tapes, plus a few duplicates. Video content includes training and instructional guides for park service rangers, Ad Council PSAs, news segments, and collaborative PSAs and event footage with sports teams as part of the Smokey and the Pros program. Other notable content includes footage regarding the care and use of the Smokey Bear costume, an oral history interview segment with Rudolph Wendelin, and a few short videos featuring Smokey's animal puppet friends ("Smokey's Visit" and "Smokey and His Friends").
