The American Agricultural Economics Association Records contain the organization's constitution, bylaws, correspondence, handbooks, directories, ledgers, invoices, newsletters, black and white and color photographs, membership lists, reports, policies, student chapter papers, publications, and papers of various committees. A majority of the records are drafts of articles for the American Journal of Agricultural Economics. Includes files of the Committee on Women in Agricultural Economics.

Organizational History
The American Agricultural Economics Association (AAEA) was established as a professional society to promote interest in the economics of agriculture, rural communities, and natural resources. The organization originated in 1910 as the American Farm Management Association, and became the American Farm Economics Association in 1914. In 1968, a group left the organization and formed the American Agricultural Economics Association. It later changed its name to the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association.
