Alexander Gordeuk Papers

This collection contains personal and organizational files of Alexander Gordeuk of Rahway, New Jersey. He was a member of U.S. Participation Committee, World's Poultry Congress and a staff coordinator for animal products, Merck, Sharp and Dohme Research Laboratories. The collection includes items relating to the U.S. Branch of the World Poultry Science Association and its Participation Committee's activities leading to and involvement in World's Poultry Congresses held in Mexico City, Mexico in 1958, Kiev, USSR in 1966, and Madrid, Spain in 1970. Records and minutes of the U.S. Participation Committee meetings and actions taken are part of this collection, as well as several photographs and negatives of U.S. participants. Additionally, the collection contains various brochures issued by the agencies sponsoring the different Congresses, invitations, general programs, calls for scientific papers, travel tours and numerous publications related to the host countries. There are also numerous color slides from Gordeuk's participation in Congress in Madrid.
