The Front Royal Remount Depot Photograph Collection consists of 106 black and white photographs taken during winter of 1941 at the Front Royal (Virginia) Remount Station of the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps. The photographs are captioned and illustrate the processes by which horses and mules were raised and trained for Army service.
